Does Day.ai import your open deals?

Yes, since 21 May 2025, on the $60 Professional plan. Deal name, amount, stage and owner all cross from a spreadsheet. If you have read otherwise, it is because an early post explaining why they were not building it is still the first thing search turns up.

Why you will read otherwise

DateWhat happened
31 Jan 2025Org Relationships launched as the alternative to importing deals
4 Feb 2025CEO publishes the case against building deal import
21 May 2025Deal import ships anyway, fifteen weeks later
31 Jan 2026Setup guide: "Help me import my opportunities"

They changed their mind and shipped it, which is the right call and a good sign. The only snag is that the older post still ranks, so people researching a move keep finding the reasoning rather than the result. If somebody tells you deal import does not exist, that is where they got it.

Sources: the refusal post and the release that shipped it.

What crosses, and what to ask about

Confirmed

Deal name, amount, stage, owner

Named in Day.ai's own release notes. You import a spreadsheet and the assistant maps it: "Only bring over the Deal Name, Amount, and Stage columns" or "Assign all these deals to me."

Worth asking

Close dates, custom properties, history

There is no published field list, and nothing stated about activity history, notes or attachments travelling with a deal. Notes import was "next up" in May 2025 and may well be in by now. One email settles it, and it is worth sending before you plan a cutover around it.

Do not confuse two imports. The .txt, .vtt, .docx, .pdf formats and the 50-file cap you will find in their guide belong to meeting transcript import, not opportunities. Different flow, different limits.

Which plan you need

PlanPriceOpportunities and import
Free$0No
Turbo$24/moNo
Professional$60/moYes
Executive$200/moYes, plus batch operations

That is per agent, not per seat. You pay for virtual workers you deploy, not headcount, and a workspace with one Professional agent adds colleagues free. It is the most misreported thing about Day.ai's pricing.

Day.ai deal import questions

Can Day.ai import directly from HubSpot or Salesforce?

No. Import is a generic spreadsheet flow, so you export and upload. Day.ai has a HubSpot connector, but it is an agent tool that acts inside HubSpot rather than a migration path, and there is no documented Salesforce integration of any kind.

Does the import bring deal history and activity?

Not documented. Day.ai publishes nothing on activity history, notes, attachments or stage-change history moving with an opportunity.

Should you import your open pipeline at all?

The original argument against it has not stopped being true. If your pipeline is full of deals nobody has touched in a quarter, importing moves the problem. Import what is genuinely live, let the rest close where it is.

Where we come in

We move the pipeline, and check it landed

Import is a spreadsheet and an afternoon. Reconciling what arrived against what you had, and deciding what should not come at all, is the part worth having somebody on. We run the whole move and you keep selling through it.

  • Only the deals that are genuinely live, rather than everything
  • What arrived checked against the old system, deal by deal
  • The fields nobody documents confirmed before the cutover, not after
  • Both systems running side by side until you are ready to switch off
