What Clarify actually costs, once you understand credits

Seats are free and unlimited. You pay for the work the AI does, measured in credits, and Clarify publishes the exact rate for every action. Which means the bill is predictable if you do about ten minutes of arithmetic first. Here is that arithmetic, with their numbers.

The three plans

Every plan carries unlimited seats. What changes is the credit allowance, the record ceiling and a handful of gated features.

What a credit is spent on

This is the part that decides your bill, and Clarify publishes it outright rather than making you guess.

ActionCreditsCharged
Meeting prep30per meeting
Meeting summary30per meeting
Meeting task creation10per task
Deal detection20per deal
Deal summary20per summary
Field updates10per suggestion
AI fields3 to 30per autofill
Campaign email1per send
Lead Finder import1per contact
Meeting recordingFreenever credit gated
Background enrichmentFreeincluded on every plan

Two of those being free is the thing to notice. The notetaker keeps joining and recording even when your balance is at zero, and enrichment on records synced from email never costs anything. So the floor of what Clarify does for you is not metered at all.

So what does that buy

A meeting with both prep and summary switched on costs 60 credits. Everything below follows from that one number.

Free, 1,000 credits

About 16 meetings a month

Fully processed, meaning prep before and a summary after. Enough to run a founder's calendar and see whether you like it. Not enough for a team.

Starter, 5,000 credits

About 83 meetings a month

Before you spend a credit on anything else. In practice you will, so treat it as comfortable for one or two people selling actively.

$300, 35,000 credits

About 583 meetings a month

Clarify's own guide puts a five to nine person team here. The headroom is not really for meetings, it is for the deal and field work underneath them.

A more honest picture of a small team's month: 40 meetings with prep and summary, 12 deals detected and summarised, 60 tasks created and 80 field updates. That is 4,280 credits, which fits inside Starter's 5,000 with room to spare. Two people selling properly cost $50 a month.

The number moves when campaigns start, because every campaign email is a credit. Ten thousand sends is 10,000 credits, which is $100 of overage on its own and a different order of spend from the meeting work.

Worked from the published rates above. Your mix will differ; the arithmetic is the point, not our example.

You can cap it, and that matters more than the rates

Nothing runs away quietly

You get email at 80%, 90% and 100% of the allowance. At zero the AI features simply pause until the next cycle rather than billing on.

Paid plans can turn on on-demand credits to keep going, and that setting takes a dollar spend cap, which is the control most usage priced tools do not give you.

You can switch the expensive parts off

Overages are a workspace toggle, and individual credit consuming features, meeting summaries and task creation among them, can be turned off independently.

So the practical way to run it is: start with everything on, watch one month, then switch off whatever you were not reading.

Common questions

Is Clarify really free for unlimited users?

Yes, on every tier including Free. Seats are not the billing unit at all, credits are, so adding a colleague who only reads costs nothing. That is the real difference from a per seat CRM and it holds at the top of the range too.

How many credits will a small team actually use?

Clarify says consumption tracks deals and meetings. Take your monthly meeting count, multiply by 60 if you want prep and summary on both, then add 20 per deal detected, 20 per deal summary, 10 per task and 10 per field suggestion. Most small teams land inside Starter's 5,000.

What happens if I run out mid month?

AI features pause until the next billing cycle. Recording is never gated, so the notetaker keeps working, and enrichment keeps running. On a paid plan you can enable on-demand credits in Settings, Workspace, Billing, with a dollar cap.

Is the free tier a trial?

No, and that is worth saying because several competing products call a time limited trial a free tier. Clarify's free plan has no end date. It has a credit ceiling and a 20,000 record ceiling instead.

What does enrichment cost?

Nothing. Clarify states it is free on every plan, on their own enrichment waterfall, applied automatically to people and companies synced from email. Free tier gets standard enrichment, paid tiers get advanced.

Why is Growth priced on application?

Because it is a credit package rather than a seat count, so there is no list price to publish. Growth is also where workflows, SAML, OIDC and the migration help sit, so it tends to be bought for those rather than for volume alone.

Where we come in

We size the plan before you pick one

Credit pricing is genuinely fairer than per seat and genuinely harder to forecast. We work your real meeting and deal volume against the published rates and tell you which tier you land in, before you are on it.

  • Your actual volume run against Clarify's own credit rates
  • The features worth switching off, and the ones worth every credit
  • Overage caps and alerts set up so nothing runs away quietly
  • A straight answer on whether the free tier is enough for now
